Yea, as the post says it, ran well in spots. Made a final table, came in 3rd after taking the deal. Usually play really micro level tourneys. Will try playing some low stakes if possible and bankroll permits.



Additionally, am interested to try some 6 max hyper turbos.

Collected some data @ 1.5 micro level :-)



Hope to try 7 level and see if the ROI is sustainable.

Dec Week 1

So tried a few things, trying to find the game I can beat. This week I played some MTT's and decided to play 18 man turbo's like so many pro's out there do.

I tried 3.5 level, seems like never felt comfortable with 1.5 18 mans but looking at math, if one can make 10% + return and put decent volume and at higher buy in, this may be worth it.

Here is the sample that I had for the last few days for 18 mans.



I played 1 game of 7 doll 18 man, but decided to give more time to get a reasonable sample to move up the stakes.

I am hoping to hit 7 18s in 2012.

In search for my first million

Okay here I am, in search for my first million. Like every body else in the world, its never easy I guess to search for the first million, specially when you have 500 bucks in hands and a dream.

So here I will be posting my progress and see how and when can I get there.

Means to get there: playing on Poker Star. Cash in hand 500 and some change.

Ran well, folded in tight spots...whew...

3.30 8 Max runner up

Grrrrr, came in second after crushing the final table.

With 3 people left on the final table(700+ran) and blinds at 4k-8K. Chipstacks 900 K for myself, random guy has 500 K, and 550 K for the third guy.

Get 99, make it 24 K, get raised by random guy to 70 K, flat call.

Flop 9KJsss, dude raises, ship it in.

Show down 99 vs QQ

I cannot fade spade on river, sigh.

Fight back and came in second. oh well gg.

By the way played a few other and got busted...like 22 Deep stack, and like 10 other games.

But over all a +ev day.

I don't think that's skill. I am a noob, learning. Poker is a game of a lifetime, need to learn.

Pokerstar is a wonderful place to learn and get better at poker.

Moving on from Leader board

Reaslised concentrating on points for leader board affecting my game, as I only play 1 block.

so moving on, this week, aim is to win a mtt.

Yesterday was bitter sweet. Was deep in 2 180 mans 4.40.

Was the bubble boy on one with 19 left, had AA, raised 3x, and have 6x left. Middle position shoved with 55. Insta call, flop 5 :(

Concentrated hard on the second one, came in 1st.

Aim for March First week

Okay so I failed miserably to hit the top of Mars Leader board, even though I had a head start.

So that aim carries over this week.

I have 230 in 7 now. Will try.

Gl all.

Aim for the weekend

Need to hit the top of the Mars division.

Score of 312 in 9

Need to get 580 or so to be no. 1

That means 270 in 11.

Do-able technically, Give a shot.

Break down means - 270/80 = 4 wins in 27 man would do it.

Or

270/61 = 5 wins in 18 Man.

Tough but achievable, need to run good.

Also Need 130 points in 4 days, that means 35 FPP per day to get Silver Star.

1st day of Battle of planets

Played about 3 Games in Venus division. Won 1 , came 2nd in other and busted before the money in the 3rd.

Gives me about 110 points from 3 games.

Aim: 650 points in 20.

540 needed in 17 games.

Will be playing 27 man 5.50's.

I will need to win 7 of these 17 to get to the goal.

Yay, second on leadee board for venus.

Daunting to think to try and repeat the feat.

3.5 hours to go, 2nd in Venus division, excited about it.

Never been this high on SNG's. Challenge will be to try and repeat the feat, not only for this but try another division. With the added incentives.

562 on SNG leader board

Had a great run on 5-9 dollar SNG's. Currently second position, with 1 game to go/

562 points. No. 1 has 630+, untouchable at the moment.

555 is the current no. 2. Need to play 1 before saturday to complete my block of 20.

Hopefully can get in no. 2.

Also made a mistake of calling a tight players all in 3.30 + R 180 Turbo with A7 bad move.

Play premium hands.

6 Max - 18 man plus won a 27 man

I think I will try this combo.

One thing learnt, 3.30 + R, no need to shove if U are less than 10 blinds.

May be less than 7 blinds, shove.

Will keep learning.
